How hard is it to get an appeal to spring rush? I have text anxiety and want to rush a sorority this spring? Do I have a chance? I have a 2.7 gpa.

The only appeals granted last year were due to long term illness, death in immediate family and confirmed case of professor entered wrong grade but could not correct until IU offices re-opened. There were less than 5 appeals granted. Even if your appeal was granted, most chapters would cut have to cut you per their national policy.

I have a 2.75. Will they round up? I can get a doctors note saying I have depression and anxiety. Should I put in an appeal? Can I rush anyway?

No, it will not be rounded up. You can get the note, but you did not understand what the person above you posted. Even if Panhel gave you a waiver, I don't know of a single chapter that is going to take a chance on someone with a 2.75.

I did understand. There are a few houses that would take me - kappa and g-phi. Would it help if I had members write on my appeal?

Having a couple friends in a house say they want you means almost nothing. The voting process within the house is so complicated and everyone in the house has someone they're pulling for with only 50 bids to give. Also those chapters could never write an appeal because that would be considered dirty rushing.

They emailed me- have my appeal and will review. Included Doctor note of illness in family. Now to wait. I think it's positive that they emailed me back and said 7 days. I am only .02 away. My friends say since I am so close I should get the waiver.

I would count on rushing as a sophomore. Chapters have very strict policies on gpa requirements, even with a waiver.
