PNM question about getting a bid during rush
by: KatWill a PNM that rushes that has good grades and good reputation usually get a bid to join a sorority? It’s not guaranteed but do most girls that rush at State get a bid usually? Are all sororities equal in popularity at State? Would getting invite to join any sorority at be a honor? Is a girls college experience doomed if she is not Greek at state?Or is there a hierarchy and one sorority is considered lower tier? Thanks!

Unless you had a pretty big scandal/ skip out on parties/ super inappropriate socials/ bad mouthed the heck out of some houses publicly, you will get a bid. They are not all equally popular, but they all offer the same experience. Higher tier house does not equal better experience. It’s a made up social hierarchy that doesn’t matter & wont amount to happiness. Go where you are loved! That might be at a “top house,” that might not be, and both are okay!
