GPA (unweighted or weighted)

by: Question

Is weighted or unweighted high school GPA used for sorority recruitment? My high school only uses unweighted, so it’s impossible to have over a 4.0. However I know some high schools allow for some classes to count higher than 4.0 (weighted).

I know some colleges recalculate GPA so that everyone’s GPA is unweighted. I wasn’t sure about MSU.

The highest GPA listed on the transcript is used. There is no distinction between weighted and unweighted.
If you don't have at least a 3.4 GPA then you'll be very limited. At least half will cut you immediately. 75% of girls come in with 3.75+ and 50% are 4.0+

GPA, reputation, location, and bad social media are easy cuts. Nothing you can do about 3 of the 4 at this point.

And a girl will lash out for being cut by a sorority for her grades and reputation. She is the one who did them but tries to fight about being cut. Please prepare for life better.

Don't worry if you have a lower gpa, you can always join zeta. They offered over 30 snap bids and couldn't fill their house. So even if you are dropped from recruitment make sure to contact panhellenic and let them know you want to participate in COB and that you are open to zeta. They would love to have you.

The university will provide written verification of the official GPA for each PNM. It will be the university’s official calculation, not what the PNM self-reports - so all PNMs will be on the same footing i.e. weighted vs non-weighted
