No, that money could not be used for philanthropy, or for anything else, only for the house. Every sorority has a house corporation that runs and maintains the chapter house, handles renovations and improvements, and does new construction. Donations and loans specifically for the house go through the house corporation and can't go toward anything else. Philanthropy is a separate entity in sorority fundraising. Every sorority runs like this.

No, AXO has zero walls up. They've not really even started building. They WILL NOT have a house complete in 2026. And you can take that to the casino because it's a sure bet

No way AXO is moved in by this time next year. They posted a video of themselves breaking ground TODAY. They haven’t even started. They’re looking at a 2027 move in date for sure.

AXO broke ground in May. They just had the formal one today for marketing purposes.

Not having a house will definitely hurt KD during recruitment. PNMs want to hang out at their house with other members. It's a different type of bond they cannot get compared to the other chapters that have a full and completed house.

You are acting like KD was being so sneaky and lying to girls just so recruitment doesn’t go bad. You can look it up on Ethos Contracting Group, LLC Facebook where they give the target finish time to be summer 2026. I’m sure that this unaffiliated contacting group did not care how it would affect their recruitment, they just gave that estimated timeline. Essentially half of the house is being built so it’s not even a full brand new house, hence the quick timeline. Also, they built azalea hall in a little over a year and it is like four times as big as the new Kd house will be.

Anybody with eyes who walked by the KD construction site could see the progress (lack of). It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that KD’s won’t be moving in there in time for rush and living there in the fall of 2026. Just own it. It’s okay. It’ll be nice once it’s done - but that won’t be by August 2026. And it’s not hard to see it

Ok but what else are they supposed to do? That is the date the contracting group gave them. Are they supposed to be like"the construction workers told us august 2026, but I actually think I know more about contrustion than them so it will actually be longer"???? BFFR. Its not like they lied about it. You can littery look up the contracting group that posted the timeline estimation.

You know what a "target" is right? That's when the owner wants it done. So yeah, that "target" will definitely be listed as summer 2026. Why wouldn't it be? That's what they have to say. And please note that a construction completion does not mean "move in ready." Completed construction just means that interior finishes can start = moving furniture, decor, etc.

We will see the real & true story unfold when housing contracts have to be signed for the KD House Corporation to occupy rooms in the Fall of 2026. If they are willing to bet on a Fall 2026 occupancy, and think there's a chance they will not have rooms ready by then, they will have to have a contingency plan in place and made available to house dozens of women for an entire semester (or more). So that info should be coming by December or January at latest.

They will still have a dining room, chapter room, and a giant room they use to practice dances. You can still go to the house you just can’t have a nice living room. AXO didn’t have any place to meet on campus. Also they are freshman anyway it’s not like they could have lived their this year anyways

It appears that AXO's "last few years" have been going pretty well considering they are new and only had their first rush here 3 years ago. Only someone bitter and anti-sorority would find fault in new sorority houses.

AXO colonized in 2020, and fully participated in recruitment in 2022. 2025 marks their 4th year in full participation with formal recruitment.

This is factual information. Sorry if it hurts your feelings, but truth is not subjective and facts don’t care about your feelings.
It’s unfortunate that AXO’s nationals pulled the rug out from under them in the fall of 2023 by reneging on the promise they made to build a house by 2024. As truth would have it, they didn’t even break ground until recently (2025) and at the rate they’re going it won’t be ready for occupancy this time next year. So they won’t be recruiting out of it until August 2027. Their nationals really screwed them. And it’s not the chapter’s fault. They’re working hard. It’s just absolute murder to try and compete alongside groups with big, beautiful houses.
AXO will get there. They’re just not there yet, which makes recruitment and retention extremely challenging
