Very mean to fool fraternity boys into thinking they like them just to go to a party. Why do they have to be so mean? Even still all the frats seem to like them and think they're pretty.

If you do not know ahead of time - it is very unexpected that one girl is singled out as the favorite and gets to wear a red dress to initiation while everyone else is forced to wear white. She gets initiated last because she's the favorite and all the rest are initiated in order of how much the other girls like you. SO if you're towards the start of initiation that's your signal that you're not popular in the group and nobody really cares or knows you. If you're not expecting this revelation it's a huge blow to figure it out and makes you question if you should've chosen another sorority. Initiation is weird and borders sacreligious for some. Just disappointed that what lots of girls really wanted and were so happy for on bid day became a huge let down at initiation.
