As a gdi I wish we could get another non machine person in after spillers to build good momentum to break the cycle but is is very apparent the Greeks are full bore this year amd are very determined. She is a good person but is def an insider for machine. Good to see a girl get the nod. Know that.

If anybody can take on machine it is agd because of Tysons. Truly interesting. Be careful boys. Buckle up....

I'm pretty sure the reason MHT wasn't the machine candidate for queen in the first place was because alpha gam went against them last year to support spillers. So this isn't their first time going against. Although I've seen a lot of alpha gam support for Lillian on fb so who the heck knows

Totally agree bc they have way more experience and qualifications. Guess caroline Morrison did not work hard enough against spillers to suit the machine. Another black eye for alpha gam if they do not totally get behind her. Gonna be interesting. Some real divisions within that house and some strong older (like junior class and abov) women and some really really weak willed women. But these juniors picked these soph's and they picked the Freshies so idk.

She also pretty openly supported Halle.... sucks she gets punished for having a backbone

I'm in an old row house and I agree. Honestly, I'll probably be voting for Patrick. It's not that Lillian is terrible, she just shouldn't be president. A VP maybe, but not president. I've seen the other two do way more throughout my years here.

Interesting thought that having their puppet as president of SGA in their junior year improves their ability to control the puppet. i tend to agree that it does increase their ability to control because the puppet still wants senior honors and perhaps other appointments in their "immediate past president" sort of year. therefore, beware, this is actually a pretty big power play by Theta Nu Epsilon...

So they will trust a woman, but only if they can have high degree of assurance that she would not go rougue. There are some smart people making the machine calls lately.

-for the record agd is NOT the only house whose members have "gone against the machine on anything or who were 'instrumental' in breaking the color barrier"...if you were around campus last year or two you know this is not true..
-it is silly to pretend like agd is the only house with members who have a brain when it comes to voting. PLENTY of other greeks can and do make their own choices.

It is clear that AGD, as a house, might have stepped out last year to support spillers. Then AGD was sufficiently intimidated by machine threats of social exclusion they, as a house, decided to get back on the machine's plan. So, in the fall AGD, as a house, backed the machine candidate for HC queen. This is clear from the leaked text messages. This created issues in the house. Are you suggesting that, for SGA president, AGD is not officially backing Lillian Roth and instead has taken a neutral stance? But they are not officially backing their own active Morrison? It seems like you are describing them as officially neutral?

What I would expect to see from AGD is to fully support their own sister no matter what. Unconditional love and support. If sisterhood does not mean to AGD that they support their own sister for SGA president, then that is pretty sad. Their construct for what sisterhood means is strange. But at least they have quality actives (now juniors and seniors) that have the profile (thanks to machine...) and now the ambition to try to run against the machine... but if they keep this up those kind of girls are going to find another house in the future.

PS - the "seak candidate" for HC in the fall that AGD did not support WAS one of the instrumental keys to the color barrier breaking.... So a pioneer like that was not qualified? How so? I know how. You know how. The "best" was chosen because the machine told them who was "best". Nevermind that AGD really thought they wanted MHT for queen but were told that was not gonna happen. Why they were not on for Halle from the start is another questionable thing.

The machine means nothing but a bunch of talking heads and people (lemmings?) that want to keep them happy. Sad. There is no real power, so what would the AG go after?
