you commit to coming to bama, and then sign up on the panhel site and get on a list/report. this is usually enough to get at least a half dozen invites from the houses that are looking to cast a wide net. for others that are more sought after, you need to make some form of additional contact. try a very short and polite email to the chapter. info on the panel site.
