by: The less talked about sorI've tried to learn about all the sororities and be open but there is almost nothing on SDT. Even their reviews - which yes I take with a huge grain of salt - are confusing. For example, "Only know one member and I am not impressed. UA is way behind in the LGBT and other oddball circles. The member I know is a minority and although she likes to portray herself as an open thinker she is nothing more than a serial sleeper. A lot of drama in the house as well. Steer clear and let the chapter perish on its on." - What does that even mean?!

I think the quoted language means that they are not doing well and do not provide much of a real alternative option to the mainstream sororities on campus. I think it also means that the person writing the message thinks it has become sort of an LGBT group and they are probably not going to be around much longer.

So SDT is a small Panhel sorority that doesn't do formal recruitment. Hopefully they will one day but who knows. They aren't going anywhere though, they're the Rho chapter, a single letter, of Sigma Delta Tau and they keep getting bigger by the year. I doubt the University is gonna give up on them right as they're showing considerable improvement. They have a house and it's one of the small ones on frat row. They are a very accepting group and any girl would be lucky to be a part of a sisterhood like theirs.

OK "Dru-pee" seems you have a lot of time to lurk on this page. I have friends in SDT and I can tell you they have one of the best sisterhoods on campus. They are a "panhellenic' sorority and have a house. Their house is currently on Fraternity row, so that's why they don't do "formal" recruitment. They just did Spring COB and got a great group of new girls. While there is diversity, they do not take everyone that rushes. They are looking for girls who want to be involved in their sorority and in other organizations on campus. These girls LOVE each other and have a great time together. Instead of listening to people who no nothing about this group, you should check it out for yourself. Time to be independent and make your own decisions. If you want sisters for life, then SDT is for you. If you want to pay for a sorority that's cliquish and just takes your money - go with another one. SDT is not going anywhere, it's one of the oldest sororities around. They are growing and having a great time doing it. Check them out for yourself! I can honestly if I had not been a legacy in another sorority, I would be a Sig Delt! Love those girls!
