I rushed as a sophomore and I had a great rush experience. As long as you are personable and have a good college gpa you should get a bid. There's a lot less sophomore that rush obviously and they have quotas for upperclassmen!

I went through rush as a sophomore transfer, got my top house, and had a good pref day.

Soph is fine but they will want to know why you waited. Junior is probably not.

What if you are a transfer junior? I'll be transferring in as a junior and really want to be in a sorority. Greek life isn't big at my current school.

Both are fine. I know juniors and sophomores who rushed and got the house they wanted!

If you are cute and have good grades and haven't rushed before, you should be ok. Girls that quit their houses or depledged who think they can rush again are in for a sad surprise. Most likely you will dropped from all houses after first round. Even if you have a friend in that house, that won't save you. So don't bother.

Not necessarily. I've seen 'em resign, come back next fall and pledge a so-called higher tier group. It's rude, but they don't care.

If you have good grades, you've got a chance. If you have marginal grades, forget it.

You need to have a hook up going in.

There are 10 or 15 juniors who rush every year. A good many of them get bids. If you have top grades, look decent, and have a pleasant personality, you should not have a problem.
Do not get really picky, though. Many will cut you right away, but if you are willing to accept a bid from any house, you should get one.
