xmas card

What does it mean if Alpha Phi sent me a Christmas card? I don't know anyone there & neither am I a legacy.
Or did everyone get one who already got accepted?

Typically you get a Christmas card because an active or alumni put you on the list. At least that's how it works for my sorority.

It may be that a girl from your hs is an active in that sorority and put you on their mailing list or a guy friend said good things about you. It doesn't mean much, just that you are on their radar.
