reaffiliation (fraternity)

I know this site is usually a joke but i am looking to transfer from a large school in the north east. I am a member of a fraternity at my school that is considered old row here and if i transferred would i most likely not be welcomed into the chapter since its old row and i am from the northeast? I want the true southern school experience but id like to know before i reach out and make the move to transfer
