by: pnmIs it weird to follow actives on social media? I'm excited for rush and love seeing all the greek life pictures and how much fun they are having.It gets me so excited for next year, but I do not want to seem over eager.

I think that when pmn's follow me it means they're showing interest in learning more about my sorority! If we're been liking pictures back and forth for a while I'm way more likely to remember her during recruitment!
However I have a few sisters who see following as an attempt to dirty rush, but I think that's a little much. It changes from girl to girl.
If you do choose to follow some girls DO NOT just follow one sorority. You'd be surprised how your social media is analyzed!

What if lots of girls from one chapter follow you first and you follow them all back? Will other sororities look at my instagram and think that I followed them all first and only want to be in that sorority?

Not necessarily. But if a lot of girls form one chapter are following you, I would add a few girls from other chapters as well to even it out a little bit. While the actives know that we all contact PNMs on social media, it does look a little weird to only have friends from one chapter the closer you get to recruitment. I wouldn't freak out about it now because it's only December, but I would definitely add a few actives from each chapter.
