time commitment

You will definitely have chapter for an hour once a week and new member meetings for one or two hours once a week. You will have date parties or swaps once or twice a week, but those are optional (but they're fun so you will want to go). The amount of philanthropy events you do depends on your house. You won't have an unlimited meal plan for dining halls, so you'll be eating at the house, which could either save time or take more time depending on where you live. The only time you might have trouble managing being in a sorority is homecoming (pomping 20-30 hours a week for two weeks, plus other competitions the second week) or initiation week.
