arrest on saturday
by: What Happened?I heard one of the guys was a Sigma Chi. The media is going crazy about how the students instigated the whole arrest. And if they had just been more respectful, the tazing never would have happened. I don't get why the guys didn't just do what the officers asked. If they had a beef, they could have let their parents or lawyers deal with it later.

Cops DO NOT have the right to just barge into someone's home like that, and the fact the cop kept trying to pull him out was out of line. If they had stepped out of their home, he could have tried to charge them with public intoxication. Those kids aren't stupid and know what their rights are and it pissed that cop off, bottom line. He should be fired along with the one who was tazing the guy and the one beating him with his baton.

Mom? Really? I understand wanting to protect your student, but get a grip. The police did not just randomly show up. And, your son, was totally disrespectful. Just like the disrespect to the person that logged the complaint. Oh, I know, you and your offspring don't have to abide by the law. Blah blah.... Why weren't the students just respectful peacefully? I know, you are going to argue that too.
#6by: Video
I have watched the body camera videos and saw a video made in the apartment. There was a crowd of friends in the apartment, and they were all hollering at the policeman telling him what he could and couldn't do and had their cameras in his face agitating him. I could see how the policeman felt ganged up on and very disrespected and got angry. Things just escalated from there. If the guy had just stepped outside to speak to the policeman and all of the friends had let the cop do his job then none of this would have happened. Once things started going downhill, I do think that the policeman lost his cool and went over the line. The cop that beat the guy with his flashlight and tased him was WAY out of line from what I could see on the video. They will probably get fired and the police department sued. All that being said, I think that fault lies on both sides!
