rec letter
by: HmmmmAre recommendation letters actually that important? I only have ones to tri delta, pi phi, kappa kappa gamma and alpha phi... Also, I'm sorry if my spelling is off!

100% agree with all of this. You HAVE to have recs-at least 2 per sorority-to have a legitimate chance of receiving a bid. Also, definitely ask the DDD, Pi Phi, KKG, and APhi (your spelling was correct, btw :)) alums you know who have agreed to write recs for you if they know any sorority women from AXO, ADPi, AGD, AOPi, XO, DG, DZ, GPB, KAT, KD, PM, and ZTA-the other houses that you need recs for at Bama. I can almost ensure you that they do; just as actives have friends in different chapters, so do alums. Additionally, ask your parents' friends and coworkers (even men, because they might be married to and/or friends with sorority alums), your friends' parents and coworkers, older siblings' friends and coworkers, your current and past teachers/coaches/employers/coworkers/camp counselors, ask around at Church or Temple, and if you need/want to, register with your local Alumnae Panhellenic Association (you can find their contact info on the NPC women.org page). Trust me, it's WELL worth the time and effort to get at least 2 recs to EVERY group. Good luck!

I disagree, instead of wasting your time getting duplicates. I would work on a rec for every house. If you do not have a rec, some houses will let you go after IWT.
