actual chances in spring
by: CkI want to try and do cob for the spring, but am concerned that I don't have close friends in any particular sorority. I have great grades and am really involved on campus, including some more prestigious groups, but just don't have connections. Do I still have a decent shot at at least being contacted if I fill out the cob form or will I probably not be?

You'll have as good a shot as anybody during spring. Trouble is, there will be only a handful of sororities with targets open.
You can treat it as "rush training." Put your name down and see what happens. If you hit a target, great! But if you don't, you'll have met some sorority members and have a bit of experience to help you through fall rush.
