by: PNMI'm a legacy for theta at another school but plan on being at UA next year, but why does everyone seem to hate them here? They're always last or second to last on the rankings and I've seen the pictures and they're definitely prettier than GPhis and aren't white washed like a lot of sororities and really seem to have an actual group of intelligent girls and not just dumb blondes. I'm from MB so I have a lot of girls telling me to go top tier like a few friends that are Phi Mus, but I'd rather be with girls I like than that...

And again, I'm not. I didn't even say I was planning on going theta just wondering. I actually don't know anyone there so probably won't considering I have a lot more high school friends in other sororities.

Im really just stating what everyone else is thinking. It doesn't matter if you're a legacy. Sure, I know Theta does take consideration into their legacies, but you're not a shoe in. You're grades need to be just as good, you need to be just as involved in high school, and you need to be just as respectful to any other member in each sorority, because we all have friends is tother sororities, and I could name a friend from each one. its not that they are bottom. they have great girls. had they not cut me, I'm sure id be thrilled to be in their house, but really, its whichever houses keep you until the end, and then its mutual selection.

This is a rating site. With tiers someone has to be low while others are higher. Theta is low. It's not about pretty or whitewashed. It's who is most popular and hard to get in to. Theta is easier to get in to. They are a great chapter as are all the Bama chapters. If you are lucky enough to get a bid from them please take it.

Why is it bs that I actually want to know...? I'm a theta legacy at UGA. From what I've heard they're not popular and people literally forget they exist, so it's not like I have anything to gain from asking...
