actual effect on social life
by: wwI'm not greek, but am thinking about trying to go greek. I'm just wondering, what effect does being greek (specifically sororities) actually have on your social life? Have you found it's a good way to make close friends and get to know people rather easily or is it really more of just a way to go to parties and be part of something? wondering about personal experiences good or bad

I rushed as a sophomore so I've been both non-Greek and Greek on this campus. If you make the most of it, it's not the worst thing ever to not be Greek. However, I knew that I wanted more than to just make friends in my classes/dorm and sit around all the time, so I joined a sorority. Being Greek just opens you up to so many more opportunities, socially and academically.
