by: CobI know this has been asked but there aren't answers. Have any houses decided on COB for the spring??

It will be January at the earliest that you will hear about COB. We turn in our numbers to Panhellenic and they tell us what the new chapter total is. If it's higher than the amount of girls we have, we can choose to do COB, but we aren't required to. Honestly, so many houses that usually do COB took WELL over total so I would be very surprised if many--if any--houses do COB this year. Your best bet is to go through formal recruitment again and try to maximize your options. COB is normally only for girls who already have friends in the chapter.

Yes. I know several girls (who had friends in lots of houses) who had successful formal recruitments as juniors

Where are you getting info from? I am in a house listed above and we are not doing spring rush. Most of those houses are 30-40 girls over total (at least).

I am a member of one of the sororities mentioned above and you don't know what you're talking about. We won't know whether or not we are doing COB until January at the earliest--no one will know. Stop trying to give out information that you have no idea about.

I'm in one and of those and know for sure that we're spring rushing and that's coming for an exec. We're over but expected to have girls drop before initiation and some of our girls were already called to standards.

I'm trying I'm just becoming depressed. It's very hard to watch everyone in their letters and I feel very alone and like i have no friends. I've really never had friends(I was bullied my entire life) and was counting on joining a sorority. I found a place where I felt I belonged for the first time in my life but they cut me. I just really want to find somewhere to belong.
