I meant whether you were seeing if fraternities or sororities were doing spring rush, not which particular houses were doing it. Sometimes people ask questions about fraternities but don't specify that and people answer with questions about sororities. But I see you meant sorority! :)

So does anyone know if Kappa (not likely), ZTA (probably not likely) or APhi (the most likely of the 3 for sure) are doing Spring?

I have not heard anything about that yet, but not really in the loop for that kind of information. My middle tier house seems to be in good shape, but there may be some seeing more attrition than they anticipated. Just keep your eyes out, like you appear to be doing. Contact the president of each house you are interested in, if you can. Why not take the step and try to introduce yourself? Nothing to lose.

Has Panhellenic adjusted total yet? If they increase it, there could be some spots open.

Yes, total has been adjusted and the new total is 390, so there should definitely be some spots open-just more in some houses than others :)

No info indicating the listed houses would be doing cob. Get out there and work any relationships you may have; especially with sophs.

Agree with W. I doubt Phi Mu, ADPi, or XO will be doing COB/Spring Rush at this point-they all got strong PCs and each has an excellent reputation. If any of the 3 do decide to COB/ Spring Rush, those few spots will most likely go to girls who are good friends with sisters already in the chapter, since all 3 are relatively selective and probably won't hold any open events. That's why making connections with sophomores (and even NMs) is so important- talk to them in your classes, in your dorm, in activities you may have joined, etc. Be outgoing, fun, and genuine. Try to form real friendships with these girls (and NOT just so you can have a chance at joining their chapter-they will figure that out immediately and it won't go well) and show them how you would be a great asset to their chapter. This obviously won't guarantee anything, but if any of the 3 do decide to do COB/Spring Rush, at least you will have girls in the houses looking out for you, which makes a huge difference. Also, keep an open mind to houses who have open COB/Spring Rush-you never know where you'll find your perfect home! Good luck!
