Preview Weekend is usually in February; keep checking the Panhel website and they will publish the dates later this semester. Being from 15 hours away, you likely don't have any/many connections to girls in the houses, so I would make EVERY effort to attend. If you go to Preview, you'll be more likely to receive invites to Spring Teas, which are in the later part of March. It's beneficial to attend these as well. As for recs, I don't think you have to send them in Feburary (you can, but it's not critical) but I would definitely have them in by late May/early June.That gives the actives the entire summer to "get to know you" and you'll be on their radar earlier. Try to get 2 recs per chapter to maximize your chances. They don't have to come from Alabama alums, although they carry more weight if they do (just being honest).
