by: oki am not in any of these three houses, but IN MY OPINION, it seems like this year, axo, ddd, and agd (in no particular order) seem to be considered the best/most well-liked houses on campus. thoughts? do they deserve to be the top three? i kind of think so. ddd and agd have improved, i think.

I was under the impression that these houses were the best coming into rush but when I got to AXO I felt unwanted. Like I knew they were releasing me already. Then I went to Alpha gam and was underwhelmed. I did, however, really love tri delt but after philanthropy I got the sense I wasn't coming back. (And sadly I was right)

I don't know much about PC14, but all of the AXOs I know are super close. Granted, I'm really only close with girls from 13 (given I was 2013 also in another house), but you're right. I could tell exactly when they decided to drop me which wasn't very cool. But hey. At least I saw it coming and wasn't disappointed when I thought they loved me and then dropped me out of no where.

This is such a lie. AGD and AXO both have great sisterhoods. Of course there are some girls who don't like one another. When there are 400 girls in a house, you might not get along great with each and every person. I can think of a couple girls in my own PC that I don't really "like" but we're sisters and I care about them and if they called me at 4 AM and just needed to talk I would be there because THAT'S what sisterhood is all about, not putting on a great rush or taking cute pictures for instagram or acting like you love all your sisters when in reality there's no way you're going to be best friends with each and every one of your sisters.

are you implying DDD doesnt have a good sisterhood? i know PC 13 is pretty close but i actually dont know that much about PC 14.

DDD's PC14 is super close. Lots of very smart and involved girls in that PC who support each other. Quite a few leaders on campus.
However, that could be said for almost any house :)

AXO, DDD, and Phi Mu are always going to be close to the top because of PNM desirability. However, DDD is stronger nationally which is really aiding in their ability to get Top PNMs. AXO falls back on their house GPA which has been on the top (but barely) for a while now. Given that classes are getting close to beating them, they'll probably become even more strict on grade cuts in future years to maintain this, which will probably hurt them in regards to other attributes of PNMs. AGD is on the rise, but people don't take them as seriously. WHich is sad because they're all great girls, but they're known as not being very fun which could deter future PNMs

Agree but don't see agd on rise. See them giving in to legacy and connections pressure. KD passed them this year and pm and KKG are trending up. Having a nice new house ahead of others is no longer an advantage and they blew their chance to make a move.

are the "good" girls so of course everyone roots for them but AGDs sisterhood sucks. i know so many people in pc 13 & 14 who dont even live with their sisters. and a lot of girls in pc 13 who dont like one another. being good on paper doesnt always translate to the best. DDD seems to have a good sisterhood, theyre always together. AXO, i have no idea.
