I think it's interesting that guys who admit they don't ever mix with the new row houses are on here ranking them and of course putting the new row ones down. I think actually this system works here. The old row takes girls whose families they've known for 200 years and the new row takes girls who are pretty, involved, smart, etc.Neither side wants what the other side wants so it works out great.

I am an OOS from an inner city school with no parents and two bum legs and half of an arm and I pledged a top old row sorority. I did not have any connection whatsover to anything or anybody. I don't know what y'all are talking about. old row is totally open to all kinds... ;)

KD did fine. Really all the houses did. But they didn't do better than DDD, ZTA, or PM. Not at all. There are several in #6 - #11 that I would switch around, but KD does belong in that group. All those houses did amazingly well for them this year but they're not top houses.

I think KD did really well and I am glad you are proud of your house Zeta but you did not do any better than KD, AXO or DDD. I am glad you are happy with your house.

This ranking is true only if you actually look at the girls who came to college with outstanding resumes and attractive put-together looks. A lot of those girls went to non-traditionally top houses such as the houses listed higher in this ranking. The traditional top houses at UA make choices based more on family and dollars. Those girls are highly sought after by top houses but don't end up being the most successful girls in college. It seems like people are finally beginning to notice.

Yes. This is how decisions are made. Most old Alabama girls know going in what house they're going to get.

this thread was started by a Texas Zeta. I am glad they feel they did well but in truth so did a lot of other houses. NO WAY is Zeta top six. they just aren't- their pledge class is ok.

I agree that if you are actually here and met girls during recruitment you know which houses got the amazing girls. One on my friends in an "old row" house said that there was a big fight in her house about whether to keep some "old row legacies" or to keep some really amazing oos girls and small town Alabama girls. The legacies side won and there were girls who were saying they were going to quit if those girls were the only ones that the house was going to be interested in.

EXCEPT that things are changing at Alabama. Idk about Texas, but people except for the avid greek-rankers pretty much know that this is a good ranking for Alabama.
Don't expect things to change on this website because people that are in the better houses don't bother writing. ha ha! It's only people in the slipping old tier houses that are on here insisting that they are top tier.

Idk how anyone can know who started this thread but this Texas stuff is important. Seems like Texas kids are really coming to Bama in droves. Those girls are fueling improved quality at pi phi and zeta, which is very logical since those are two of the top top houses at the big schools in Texas. I think the Texas girls do not take a back seat to the old school Bama girls and that the Bama old row legions don't know what to make of all this. It's so interesting to watch. Better than bravo. Texas is one of the riches and fastest growing state so get used to this. It's just gonna continue.

Zeta is in the Top 6 but I would not say they are top at Texas at all. After Pi Phi, Kappa and Theta -- I would consider Chi O and maybe even Tri Delt ahead of them. A girl from my high school was devastated (as was her mom) when she got Zeta at Texas. They were expecting Pi Phi.
