Is zeta's house going to be ready fall 2016 like it was supposed to be or not til '17 or '18 like many gr users are saying? Are those just rumors?

It really just depends, no one knows at this point. I would be a little wary of the fact that they haven't even started but that's just me. If they pull a KD and throw it up in less than a year, yes. But we've also seen houses like gphi get a little delayed and take almost two years. The difference in those situations was that those girls had a place to live.

Unless both phi Mu and kappa houses get delayed and will not be ready for fall 16, zta will have prob the current pm house as a swing house until their place is finished. Prob move in over winter break after fall 16 semester. If delayed they just stay in the phi Mu house.

GPHI house taking two years messed the order of how construction of houses were to move forward. It was planned out ahead so that all sorority would have swing housing while there was under construction. But I heard that GPHI had some financial issues which delayed construction. What I heard is that PM house will be completed by jan 2016 at which time they will move in and zeta will move in to their swing house until theirs is completed which their website says fall 2016. It seems like zeta definitely got raw deal with delays of other houses, but looked at their website and house will be really nice, PM's too.

Since our alumni donated something like $203 million for Greek housing projects, I'd have to say that no, GPhi did not have financial issues. Stop trying to place blame. Whenever a house is constructed, especially a very opulent and large house, there is bound to be a snag in the planning/construction. It's better to take time to make sure the house is soundly built, than have to face poorly planned issues that may arise down the road.

That said, we can hope Zeta's new house will be done by Fall '16, but you can't expect it. Good things are worth waiting for. :)

What about the embezzlement problems they had?

From the article, that only became an issue after the house was completed. I think they got it all back from insurance anyway

Wow! thats refreshing, someone apologizing on here.

I did hear about the embezzlement, so sad for them. An alum that you've given task to assist you with completion of house and they do something like that. Unforgiveable.

I'm already tired of hearing about this house. We can only watch and wait as it's being built. I hope the pledges aren't going to be disappointed if the house is delayed but that could very well be the case. Lack of a house shouldn't matter but it looks like it does.

It was a certain house hating on zeta using the house issue as a fear/recruitment tactic thus bringing up numerous times. I think we can all agree it was annoying and feel the same way, but this question appears to be result of all the misinformation slung around this past week.

That is great on taking the pm swing if pm new chapter house finished on time. Only one semester without a house in that event. With all the negative recruiting posts about zta and no house pumping all summer, I hope their Recruitment went well. I am sure they did fine. They usually rush well.
