can i get a bid from most of the better fraterniti

Ok, so you haven't talked to or attended events for ANY fraternities at all so far?! Are you out of state? If so, that can be somewhat understandable but if you're in state, you definitely should have been networking this summer. You have nothing to lose by going thru Rush, and you might end up with an awesome bid. But I would be open to each group and ask yourself:
Where are you from? What HS? How is your city/HS viewed?
What is your family background? Are they Greek? Successful? Wealthy?
How were your HS grades and involvement?
Are you attractive? Do you dress well?
How are your social skills? Are you fun to hang out with? Can you pull girls?
The answers to these questions can determine whether you will get a bid or not. Again, go thru, have fun, and if you get a bid, accept it.

Take a quick look at Facebook for sororities like zeta, delta delta delta and Phi mu. If you walked into a room would those girls turn to their friends and point you out? If so, you got an outside chance. And be honest with yourself. But it's late.
