is greek life right for me?
by: UA FreshmenSo I love the concept of brotherhood. I've wanted to join a fraternity for a long time. But I have three issues. First is that it seems like people in fraternities don't interact with a lot of guys outside their fraternities. I love meeting new people and I feel like I wouldn't have time for anybody else or other clubs etc. if I joined. Now I know pledging is a different story and I'm fine with those time commitments since they only cover a couple weeks. My second problem is the cost. I would be paying for it on my own so 3500 a semester is quite a bit for a college student. I'm trying to decide if going greek is worth the money. And my third problem is the partying. Now don't get me wrong I love to party, but I don't wanna get drunk 5 days a week and constantly be at parties and all. I want to have time for other things. But at the same time I know that my dues are going towards those parties so I would probably feel inclined to go. I don't know I'd say I'm just a diverse guy and I'm really trying to figure out if I should join a fraternity or not.
