bid day

by: ugh

What is with parents coming for bid day? Do they stay for the parties/etc? The whole parents being there is odd to me.

It's a great day for parents to see the excitement of all the girls running to the houses....see the house you bid and meet other girls and parents. They do not go to the parties.... just the house, and have lunch. Its a big investment.... let them come see you happy!

Maybe because we love our you...maybe because we helped you get the recs, clothes, listened to you cry all week......maybe because we were also in a sorority and are excited for you...maybe because we want to support you...maybe because we get to PAY for it
Most parents are there for just a little while. Watch the run out of the stadium, give you a hug, meet some other parents, then leave you to go party or whatever you decide to do.

I regret not going. Go, even though you won't see much of her afterwards.

Not sure you are a mom or a PNM, but parents should go! We are from OOS and boy was that an experience ... it gave me chill bumps. Such tradition! Loved seeing my daughter run out with her sorority. I really want to go again this year and she is an active!
