legacy question!
by: AXO/ADPI LegacyI'm a legacy to both AXO (mom) and ADPi (grandma) and I was wondering - how strict are both on dropping their legacies? I know they don't have to take all of their legacies but aren't some houses more strict on dropping them? Just want some clarification thats all!

Nah, houses aren't exactly strict when it comes to legacies. Yes, all houses would love to get around 20 legacies or more! But think, there's probably over 300 girls who are legacies to these houses. If they like you, great! You're a shoe in! If they don't, they can easily drop you.

Legacy policy varies by house, but the general rule of thumb is that legacy status gets you a courtesy invite back to the second round. Many sororities are required to place any legacies they pref at the top of their bid list, so they have to be stricter about cuts between second round and pref so they don't end up with legacies they don't want. But if you are have strong recommendations and present yourself well, you shouldn't have much of a problem.

Just because this USED to be true, it isn't now. Plenty of legacies get dropped, they don't take every one of them.
