parents professions on recs

Do some girls actually put what their parent's do for a living on their recs...? My parents are well off, but I was taught not to tell what my family does for a living unless someone asks. If it is the case that girls put what their daddies do for the sake of seeming like a good pnm all I can say is WOW

pnms don't write recs. i think rec writers sometimes share information on family stuff like that if they believe it is relevant or explains why they are writing the rec (mother is a dear friend from college and is salt of the earth, etc.).
