The "socially retarded" part was sort of rude. There is a chance of getting cut from every sorority but if you maximized your options throughout recruitment, that most likely won't happen. The girls that don't get bids usually drop out of recruitment altogether before the week is over because they weren't happy with their invites.

@anon, that's not how rush works AT ALL! More girls does not mean more cuts. Projected is based on the number of girls rushing divided by the number of houses. The exact quota is based on the number of girls who have pref invitations divided by the number of houses. The number of girls each house must release / cut each night is based on where quota is projected. The goal is for every girl to get a bid! Of course that won't happen because houses will cut girls due to grade risk, questionable reputation, no recs, etc, but the system is designed to place as many PNM's as possible. Quota is flexible which is why our houses are so much larger now with 2400+ girls going through rush.

Your statement was not true. "More girls rushing means more girls get cut"
More girls rushing actually means even bigger pledge classes.
So instead of 120 in a pledge class, there could be 170.
Panhellenic is too obsessed with their image to NOT have a 96% bid rate or whatever it was last year. In my opinion, if houses don't like you, you should be dropped. I don't think you should ever force a house into pledging girls they didn't even want... But, that's just how it goes I guess.
