I used headshots from my senior portraits.

Just go take some cute pics outside (your mom can shoot them) and use those. They just have to be cute and you need to be alone in the pic. Don't use senior photos if you're holding a rose or if they're creepy plzzz

Plenty of girls use senior portraits, and that's fine. However, sometimes some unique looking photos will make you stand out. Just make sure you'll stand out in a good way with those pictures.

I didn't love my senior pics and had a another photographer take my photos for rush. Every girl I know used professional photographers. If it were me, I would.

No prom photos, no photos with a guy in the pic...or a horse. Normal clothes, everyday makeup. Make sure you've got a sharp, clear photo. 5 x 7 snapshot is fine. doesn't have to be pro, but if your family takes terrible photos, go for pro.

It doesn't matter as long as it looks good. I used one of my pics from my senior pic photo shoot.

If you look on etsy, you will see examples for the social resume, which can give you an idea. Any pic as long as it is clear and looks good. Also, make sure it looks like YOU!

Do you understand primarily why we want your photo? So we can try to commit what you look like to memory before rush so we will recognize you when you show up at our door. So the active who is supposed to pick you up at the door can get you quickly and greet you appropriately and make you feel welcome. So we can put a face with your name and your resume and other memorable things about you. So you will stick with us in our minds. Otherwise, you will fall through the cracks.
By all means make your photo flattering, but it needs to look like you. I can't tell you how many of these we have seen that make it seem like a girl is drop dead gorgeous but then what we get in person is a totally different girl. That won't help you, in fact you'll just stand out as a big disappointment.
