something you need to know
by: PNMs
If you're on here, chances are that you've seen something very unflattering said about the houses you have left. Maybe you think you'd better drop out and try again next year. Maybe you think accepting a bid from one of the houses you have left is social suicide.
I was where you are a year ago. The only house I had at this point is one that is always near the bottom. I felt like I wanted to drop out. My friend encouraged me to go on and take the bid that was offered knowing I could still drop later if needed.
I'm here to say that was the best advice I've ever been given. It was hard at first. I'm embarrassed to say that I honestly thought I was better than the girls in the house. It took a couple of months before I realized that they were actually amazing girls. I have found such unconditional love that I can't even express how happy I am.
Please don't drop out because you think you'll get a better bid next year. This is your best shot and you need to decide either to have a sisterhood or be independent.
My heartfelt advice is to stick with it and put in the time needed to find the amazing women in the house that wants you. If they invited you back, they want you. I hope you will want them back!

Girls that drop out of recruitment because they only have lower houses are just ignorant. They think that it's more prestigious to be independent than to be in a "lower house." They absolutely don't understand how wonderful it is to be in any house. They're all great and the sisterhood is what you should be going for, not whether greek rank thinks your letters are top tier.
