There is absolutely no way we will ever be able to tell you that. We have no idea who you are or what your conversation was like. It may have been gpa, looks, or really just a lack of connection from the actives side. There's so many things but honestly just enjoy the houses you were asked back to, because there was a reason you were cut from phi mu it just means they weren't the house for you! Don't worry and just enjoy the rest of rush

They might still love you, but back last spring they sat down and made a list of the type of members they need to be a well-rounded house. Every house does that.
Maybe they need really great students to bring up or keep up grades...maybe they need musicians...or athletes...or girls interested in politics...maybe they need more girls from out west, or more in-state girls...maybe they need more blondes, or redheads..or more short girls, or tall ones...
A lot of times it's not personal. Look at the houses you have and concentrate on them, because you are bound to have some great houses on your list!

Did phi mu cut more than the average sorority? Everyone i talked to was cut

No they didn't. They could have had more legacies or maybe they were looking for higher GPA's. Most sororities end up with about the same size pledge class.

Focus on houses going back to...don't dwell on houses cut from.

Also remember, it has as much to do with the girl in the house pulling for you. A popular senior might be able to pull in a girl easier than a sophomore who doesn't know as many sisters.
