Actually, there have been time old row houses have been eligible. You can meet quota and still be eligible for COB if you graduate a large class or have few extra drop. There are houses on that list that met quota with additions this year. But go ahead and make yourself feel better in your snobbery. Other people don’t matter to you and it shows. That’s why so many PNMs CHOSE new row this year.
Congrats to all the houses who met quota and got fantastic women! Hopefully the snobs like this poster aren’t your sisters (or more likely alumnae sisters) who you have to deal with.

How do you know it is not a strategy? Go for your first picks and if you don't get some, you can always cob a few up to campus total.

Actually it can be very useful. Kappa at my school almost never was a campus ceiling but was one of the top three. They would get quota but did not care about campus ceiling. They technically were always on the cob list. But did they cob? No. They might have taken a few friends of sisters casually but I don't know. They are still top 3 today.

Nobody who made false rankings is called out in this post. And no claims that they were top houses were made. Instead, it is another brand new post of division - stating some houses are amazing and COB houses are not. So yes, it’s snobby. To make yourself feel better. Some of those other houses have great sisterhood. TikTok was never mentioned, but we do agree. Strengthen is built on sisterhood. And ironically, some of the ranked “middle” houses consistently have stronger sisterhood, showing again this is snobby.
A Greek system is as strong as its weakest link. But instead of support you want to divide.

Please explain to me how calling out 2 lower tier houses for false rankings is divisive? It’s common knowledge. Those houses COB every single semester and have multiple PR issues in very recent history. That’s not top 5 behavior.

The point is that some houses have space but do not allow panhellenic to list them. For a brief few days after fall 2024 recruitment Piphi was on the list. Then magic!- they weren't on the list anymore. Ok.

It was fall 2023 for Zeta and fall 2024 for PiPhi for the most recent year that they appeared on the list.
ALL of new row appeared on the list for many years. Old row does have spots open from time to time. The latest documented one was for Kappa in 2022 but I have seen others over the years.

We all know there are instances where other NR houses,and occasionally an OR house, have been on the COB list. Some houses though are on there every semester. Btw…..nice use of your COB spots this year. We were all wondering where the TT girl that dropped rush after getting dropped by all “the top houses” was going to end up.

Yes Zeta was. Just a few years back in Spring - how many they took:
2023 = 3
2022 = 10
2021 = 13
2020 = 11
Piphi for the same years:
2024 = 0 Their name appeared on the cob list but then was gone after a few days - stigma problem?
2023 = 0 They chose not to cob despite being qualified to do it with a chapter total of 409
2022 = 0 They chose not to cob despite being qualified to do it with a chapter total of 416
2021 = 5
2020 = 7
In 2021 Agd took 3 and Ddd took 4.

I sense some hostility here your colors are showing. Give it a rest all of the sororities are great on campus. They all had a successful rush on their own terms.

COB is about chapter total, not quota. ALL the sororities at Bama make quota. We have a million girls going through. Most COB is they have a lot of seniors graduate and are working on getting to chapter total. Some might not in the future if it is a stigma, but it is not about not getting quota. Ask every chapter. They got all their girls and then some.

COB doesn't mean sororities didn't make quota. Every pledge class at Bama is huge! For some that are very strong, it means that chapter total has fallen because of large numbers who graduate. That is where sororities who do well, like Zeta, Pi Phi, AOII, KD, and others, fell once or twice over the last 5 - 10 years, and they get great pledge classes and great girls as well!

Oh so when the person who made the obviously false ranks gets called out, it’s “snobbery”? Pathetic. I think COB is great but claiming that 2 houses that are open for COB every single semester are top houses is ridiculous. Oh, and yes, we know there has been an occasion or two where OR houses have used COB but it’s not every single semester so stop with the “so and so COB’d in 2020”. Its irrelevant. Typically houses that are on the list semester after semester are on it due to sisterhood issues and at the end of the day, what are top sororities based on…..sisterhood, not TikTok.
