Even AGD hates AGD
by: StoveFriendly reminder that two years ago a graduating agd went viral on tik tok for posting a survey she took from agd members that said over 50% of them wished they’d gone something else. Over 50% said they were embarrassed to tell people they were an agd. That is not normal. Choose a house that is also relevant after bid day!

It’s a bit short-sighted to assume that choosing a sorority should be driven by national reputation or alum connections. While it’s true that you’re a member for life the relationships you build during college will have a much more immediate and lasting impact than some vague possibility of a networking opportunity years down the road.
Also, strong national presence doesn’t guarantee a strong alum network in every city or that you’ll even use it. Real sisterhood and support during college should matter more than a hypothetical job lead 10 years from now. And I’m sorry but it is sad if you are 45 still bragging about what sorority you pledged at 18.

Most people scatter and very few settle in Tuscaloosa after graduating. Selecting a sorority that is only strong in a couple of southern states when you are from other places in the US might not be an life long optimal choice.
