I like this one and agree with your take on more girls wanting Zeta over AGD. It’s hard to even rank AGD because they are so specific about who they take.

i don’t think its hard to rank them… to me they are mid or even bottom. at the end of the day the purpose of greek life is to SOCIALIZE and they have like two date parties a year. a couple of years ago there was that whole drama polling their seniors, 90% of their seniors being embarrassed to invite guys to their events. That’s not a top house to me..
and like another commenter mentioned, they are not broadly appealing like other sororities (cough ZTA cough any other OR house except for kd) so very few pmms come into rush actually wanting them. i only knew one girl in my rush group and thats bc her mom and grandma were alpha gams. then they recruit the exact same kind of girl and alienate other pnms who might have gotten along with them even tho they didn’t fit their Southern girl mold. and the like 3 girls i thought were cool, all eventually drop lol
so the only two things they excel at is grades and being involved with christian orgs
.. and having a high gpa at a school that is not known for academics is not the slay u think it is lol. ppl come to Alabama to party in the south

Real life years later...why are you here?Please tell me there is more to life when I graduate then being on greek rank.I'm on here because I like when gossip appears and I want to see what pnms are seeing when they look here. (unfortunately they definitely do as I did when I rushed).

" the purpose of greek life is to SOCIALIZE" ??? Isn't that a rather shallow perspective? I think Greek life fulfills a great many "purposes." It gives members a smaller "community," which can be really helpful at a large school. It's an opportunity to be part of traditions. Within these communities, you find mentors and tutors. I suck at math, and a sorority sister tutored me before I took the GRE. She explained math in ways I'd never heard, and it really helped. So, no, Greek life is not only about socializing.

Most of what you listed actually is socializing…so, yeah. Sure, Greek life has other purposes, but the main one is definitely social connection. Not sure why you think that’s a bad thing? Also, what’s with the random use of quotes?
