Then you’re not doing your homework. These numbers show which houses have the happiest members/least drama. If a house has low numbers it means a lot of girls have dropped out.

That should be a big red flag to you and make you ask “Why did so many girls drop out of ABC sorority?” Bad sisterhood? Toxic environment? Not worth the money? Lame social events? Not providing opportunities to help members get involved in campus organizations and honor societies? Bad reputation on campus and members are embarrassed to be in that house?

You need to do your homework before you blindly pledge a house based on the superficiality on display during rush.

This is important! A house isn't necessarily bad if it has had retention problems in the past, maybe changes have been made and they are improving. But you need to be aware and try to figure out what has been going on.
The new grade report should be out any time now, so use that as your reference. Try not to believe anything on Greek Rank. The grade report is produced by the university and it has not only chapter GPA's, but member numbers and you can look at the last few semesters to see patterns.

@You're missing the point - I'm not sure these number reflect happier houses with less drama. I think they do probably reflect houses with largely Southern members who are generation legacies to sororities (not necessarily their own even) who would never consider dropping out of their sorority.

The top chapters have their pick of OOS and even OOR girls, so they try to balance in state with out of state pnms. There will be some chapters that identify who they want from OOS/OOR before Rush even begins.

Pi Phi is new row and doesn’t have retention problems.

This may be true but it still has an impact for things you probably don’t think about— more members means more money coming in in dues, more people showing up for recruitment so girls get breaks, more connections across campus, etc.

A lot of out of state girls are in old row houses. PNM's will see this themselves during rush week when they are meeting these girls all day long in old row houses. They can ask them where they are from.

If they really hated how it was run so much, they would have dropped out. No one pays that much money to be miserable as a senior. There’s a lot more to that story than what Duck girl said.

No senior does anything like what duck did because she just "cares" so much about the sorority, this was pure malice on her part to get back at them because she was pi$$ed off. There is another part of her story that AGD can't reveal and she knows it. Don't believe everything on tiktok straight up unless you are that gullible.

How, exactly, do you think a senior would be forced/pressured to stay? There is NOTHING to hold over any sister to force/pressure them to stay. Not a thing to make anyone stay if they don't want to.

Yikes! What’s going on with theta?? No wonder they always have the biggest mc each year. They are not as nice as everyone makes them seem…. half the girls wish they weren’t in it and try to make them something they are not

I'm a Theta. We just got to move into our mansion 3 years ago. Prior to that, it was hard to recruit large numbers like the rest of the houses and we had smaller pledge classes. The last two years have been dramatically different. The numbers above are from last year when we still had the juniors and seniors from smaller classes. We are fine. Keep us out of the drama.

Theta just a year or two ago you had 70 members drop after you had your new house. One girl I new who dropped said the hype was all on the recruitment and then after that everyone realized Theta wasn’t that good and wasn’t that fun.

We also see theta has a team monitoring Greek rank by the up votes. How pathetic.

Theta be doing something right to finally have people on GR dissing them.

If you took those fall grade report numbers include the numbers before recruitment and the numbers of new members. Especially to the one one who said Theta has the biggest PC. That’s wrong! Aphi had to take 204! new mems while Theta had 147.

It shows different criteria for member selection. The houses on top of this list are well known for being selective on grades, reputation and involvement. The types of girls who put in a lot of effort in life in general tend to be the same types who get involved in the sorority and stick to their commitment for four years.

KKG is involved? When did this happen?

Its speaks more to generational bias. Most PNMs are still Southern so they have grandmas, mamas, aunts, cousins and older sisters that also went to Bama and where in sororities...likely, OR sororities because they have been on campus the longest. Of course Southern PNMs are going to have a bias in favor of OR houses because its the houses they are already the most familiar with. Everyone in my family was in the same OR house, of course it was the house I wanted to be in and their recruitment had nothing to do with that.

If NR houses are gaining in popularity, two things are likely happening: 1. they are putting on a very strong recruitment, and 2. the demographic of PNMs is changing so more and more OOR girls are going through recruitment with no bias and an open mind.

To say that KKG or AXO put on a much better recruitment than PiPhi or other rising NR houses is a lie. Every house on this campus is at the top of their recruitment game.

I'm OR and just trying to be fair about this. NR has a harder time attracting Southern PNMs.
