As a potential new member, these are my thoughts

as an instate pnm who has met and grown up with girls in every house, this is how I see it. Not based on OR or NR, but based on desirability and overall character.
1st tier: achi, ddd, phi mu, kappa (I would put alpha chi and tri delt over phi mu and kappa but that’s just because of my personality, so I’m keeping them on the same row)
2nd tier- KD. very selective and highly desired but only desired by their girls with exception to the few others who were hurt by the cut in rush
2nd tier- chi o. highly desired but less southern conservative girls want them over the other OR houses bc of more liberal girls as members. chi o rly doesn’t care either bc for the most part they only want legacies. therefore, does not feel fair to put them as top tier. there are so many chi o legacies from it being such a big national sorority that it covers a big chunk of their bid list.
3rd tier- zeta. highly desired but not as much as chi o or kd. but more than the others. gets its own tier
3rd tier- pi phi, adpi, aoii, alpha gam
4th tier- dg, dz, gphi, aphi
5th tier- SK, Theta
more thoughts. as a pnm I want a well rounded house. not focused on winning homecoming, not obsessed with top in grades. for the houses focused on that, realize you’re scaring away self driven and accomplished girls that are trying to get away from toxic competition that they dealt with in high school. the alpha gam incident revealed truth in this theory. therefore from that, I’ve been told to make the most connections with ddd, pm, kappa, & zeta. correct me if I’m wrong, obviously I don’t go there YET! Roll tide!

I’m sure great houses here are concerned about advice from a “pnm” troll haha. But hey as long as you are trying to avoid the high school “toxic competition” and pressure of being smart and involved, and using stereotypes to pick and choose your houses, how do you feel about the toxic competition of being rich or old money or super hot in insta pics? Are you wealthy? Are you super hot?
Because those are some of the stereotypes used on this site for houses you decided you would “focus on.” These stereotypes don’t represent these houses. None of the stereotypes used on this site represent the 400 members of any of the houses targeted by trolls.
You’ll be spending Bid Day back at home in Pine Level, Alabama with the fam if you go through rush armed with GR advice and your snotty attitude.

I’m so tired of coming to this site and seeing nothing but AGD posts. Most of us found it entertaining for about a day. I have a couple Alpha Gam friends who are sweet girls. I hope they find a better advisor and make some changes with Exec, but as someone in a different house I’m tired of hearing about it

i have heard this too, i just feel like the conservative girls of chi o are quiet and the liberal girls of chi o are loud…

She is basing her opinions on people she actually knows because she is in-state. She has experienced these people in real life and seen patterns of types that end up in different houses. I think she is right about a lot of it.

sorry no one even in the largest, most sorority savvy high school in alabama has "connections" in every single house and they definitely haven't observed "patterns" for all these houses over the years.
this is so obviously a troll. how do i know? i actually did attend a very large sorority-savvy hs in alabama.

Actually don’t even consider to get a bid. Try to be okay with being cut very early during recruitment. You have a very consolidated point of view 👏🏻 , that is okay but most houses might put you on their list with a big ???

that’s a great way to put it, i was not really thinking about the other competition within the houses. i put “correct me if I’m wrong” in my post. so I’m glad you did! I don’t consider myself snotty at all, and i don’t think I’m too good for houses that are considered “mid” either. another thing, i said I’d been told to focus on if that was what I wanted, not that it was ONLY what i was gonna focus on. obviously im gonna go through rush with an open mind to all. i just wanted to post and see if anyone saw things similarly to me.
