Hey Phi Mu, Reel in Your Clout Chasers
by: AllAboutTheClout
Y'all got some desperate clout chasers in your recent pledge class.
Especially the girl that mass-follows hundreds of incoming freshmen (not just from Alabama, but Ole Miss, Auburn, Oklahoma, etc.) in a ploy to gain followers, then unfollows all of them the next day, including the ones that followed her back. Real Classy.
Future PNMs: While this is bad look for sorority girls, just know we're not all like this. And if this happens to you, shrug it off. It says more about the girl(s) doing it than it does about you.
Congrats on reaching over 4,000 followers, but we all see the real score:
Followers: 4000+ Class & Substance: 0

To be fair, not all Phil Mus are like this. And honestly, there are girls in several houses that view pre-recruitment as an opportunity to blow up their social media following.
To them, every bio on an Alabama Class of 2027 Instagram page is a potential new follower, not a PNM for their house. They want new girls to follow them, but don't want to follow them back because they're obsessed with their ratio.
I've been perusing the '27 bios since January and following the girls I like (gasp, even those far OOR). I can't imagine following someone with the intention of dumping them as soon as they follow me back.

Wish I knew who you are talking about. Any hints?
I'm not on Instagram much, but I saw a couple Phi Mus followed me recently. One has a little above 4,000 followers. I don't want to follow her back if she's just gonna use me as a follower and ditch me.
Are many Phi Mus like this or are girls like the clout chaser mentioned the exception?
