Junior transfer wanting to rush

It’s not impossible. Rush always depends on many things like grades, involvement and who you know. Everyone knows grades are the easiest way to get cut first round and knowing people in chapters and expressing your interest are the easiest ways to get your name out there. There’s different quotas for upper and under classman and most won’t look at you any differently. Just go in with an open mind

Each house reserves only a couple of spots for junior PNMs. OR house will nearly be impossible to get a bid from as an unconnected junior no matter how good your grades are, how cute you are, etc. However, several NR will be interested because they aren’t typically at member capacity. My NR house offered bids to 2-3 juniors this year (I think). I’d do it! All the houses are great here and joining a house is the easiest way to make friends.

Incorrect; there are no reserved spots in any house for upperclassmen because they don't have to reserve spots for them. There is a separate upperclassman quota each year so that upperclassmen don't have to compete with freshmen for spots. That quota is not determined until after prefs just like freshman quota. Houses may take up to that quota or not, it's their choice with upperclassmen, but if a pnm gets invited to pref they want her. And upperclassmen quota has nothing to do with 'member capacity' during rush; it is what it is across the board and is never a predetermined number.
