Thoughts on Kappa and KD

Top houses for the deeply Southern girl crowd that only wants to socialize with other Southern girls and date only Southern boys.

These houses are not a good fit for most PNMs but these houses have great returns because the girls from the deep South all want a bid from them. They get their pick of the Southern girls. AXO and XO are similar in demographics.

These houses are totally irrelevant to any OOR sorority girls and OOR fraternity guys. The demographic of the school is changing and there are more OOR PNMs going through recruitment so the popularity of these houses that are basically Southern girl exclusive is gradually diminishing. I don't know one OOR girl that would want to be in their sisterhood.

My roommate is Kappa and came from oos without connections. Her friends are the other oos girls in her pledge class and she seems pretty happy. She said the in state girls keep to themselves and it’s fine because there are enough oos to find friends.

They’re both top tier and very desirable for girls from the south. KD and Kappa rush the same girls and go for preppy, old money, party girl vibe. They're both very cliquey and half the girls in them have known they were going to bama and which sorority they were going since 9th grade. They have a competitive rush and can be rly stuck up if you’re not old row tbh. If you’re a fit for them you’ll probably have the time of your life but if you’re northern or like more artsy then it’ll likely be hell. Both great houses but completely irrelevant to anyone that’s not old row.
