How do I decide??

by: pnm

I am preffing two houses that I absolutely love, but they have very different stereotypes. I can see myself fitting in either. I just don’t know how to decide.

My advice is always to look at the other girls in line with you at both chapters. Those PNM’s will be your pledge sisters….the girls who will become your bff’s aren’t even in either chapter yet. And the girls rushing you will not be super focused on the new member class after rush ends.

So if truly torn, go with the vibe of the other PNM’s.

THIS IS IT! Your new member class is the most influential part of your sorority experience for all four years.

I heard this thing, flip a coin one sorority heads the other tails. When you land on whatever side and you get kinda second thoughts…there’s your answer

I preffed Kappa and AGD, pretty opposite stereotypes but absolutely saw myself in both houses. My advice to you is to pick the house you feel the most love in, the feeling of being cool gets old.

i preffed xo and kappa when I went through (which isn’t as stark of a difference as kappa and alpha gam lol), but i really thought about what I wanted my college experience to look like and what sorority I thought would contribute more to that particular experience! like if you’ve always wanted to let loose in college and party a ton, there are certain sororities that are going to contribute to that experience and those that are going to be harder to have that experience in (though you can have whatever experience you want no matter the sorority you join obviously). the same applies if you want college to be more about grades, involvement, career advancement, boys, religion, etc.

Usually you do know, but you are allowing yourself to see the goodness in your other option which is a great quality. Like you have been told go with your gut and look at all the pnms in your preference group. Did either group tug at your heart or make you tear up? You will know.
