If you are a PNM and got back two houses that aren't your favorite, do not drop out and assume you will get a house that released you via COB. That's not how it works. First, MOST houses will not be doing COB. The popular houses never participate. And, with so many PNMs this year and last year, I wonder how many houses will have to this year.
Second, if my house released you during formal recruitment, we would not give you a bid via COB either. Once you're released, we don't reconsider.

this is so true. IF A HOUSE HAS ALREADY RELEASED YOU DURING FORMAL RECRUITMENT YOU CAN NOR RECEIVE A SNAP BID OR COB.

Dude no. Just no. You don’t know any of the info on snaps unless you were in the house on the recruitment team or on panhel recruitment team. You can make assumptions for potential for COB based on last fall or springs cobs but nothing about snap bids.

TRUTH: Any PNM who was either dropped by all houses or who voluntarily dropped is eligible to receive a snap. This includes PNM's who attended pref but did not sign a card or who SIP and did not get that house. HOWEVER; DO NOT COUNT ON A SNAP. THEY ARE RARE. BEST TO GO WITH WHAT YOU'VE GOT IN FRONT OF YOU. Also, if you get a bid you are locked for one year from getting any other bid, eve if you drop.

What you are saying is true, BUT in order for a released PNM to get a snap bid:
1) A house had not make quota during bid matching
2) That house reviews a list of 100++ PNM’s who withdrew or were released from rush
3) That house will likely snap PNM(s) who went very, very far into rush with the house. Like if you weren’t at sisterhood with them, they’re not going to snap you.
For all 3 of these to happen, it’s like a 1 in 1000 chance that an individual pnm would ever get a snap.
PNM’s, please for the love DO NOT make decisions today based on thinking you’ll get snapped by a “better” chapter or have better COB options. You won’t. Decide now if you’d rather never be Greek than be in your 1 or 2 Pref house chapters. Because that might be the choice you’re making.

Only houses under house total can COB.
I do know girls who dropped out and got a snap at a house they liked better than the 2 they had for prep that was 3-4 under quota.
But go to your prefs and see if you like them enough to join their sisterhood.
If no, drop out.
Do not sign a the mraba.
If you meet girls in a house and make friends you could go through recruitment next year.
The xo YouTuber did that.

Went through rush in 2013, got a bid from my #2 house, became close with my big & the girl that rushed me at house #1. Both told me I was on the house’s quota list. Worked on Panhellenic years later and there is a system in some houses (house #2 in my case) where they can rank you as one of their top people & basically suicide YOU. That’s what happened in my case and it all worked out! You will end up where you belong :)

Please stop posting this nonsense. There is NO WAY that happened. That’s now how bid matching works. If your #1 had you on top list, you match. The top list is in alphabetical order. It’s not even ranked by PNM until you get below the quota range.
Those girls lied to you; it happens a lot because they obvi loved you & wanted to make you feel better. But that still doesn’t make it true.
