Letters of rec, make a resume (will be helpful later in life too), keep social media clean and make it public if you’re okay with that. You shouldn’t change the vibe of your socials to fit in with a certain house, you want to find a house that you can be yourself with! As it gets closer to rush, make sure your schedule is completely free that week. Also practice answering questions that you would be asked during rush (easy to find on google), and remember some questions you can ask to keep the conversation going. Also avoid greekrank when it comes to choosing a house, nobody in greeklife cares about rank after becoming a member, this site is filled with trolls.

Tbh if I could go back, I’d reach out to recruitment chairs and express interest. Exec usually switches between semesters, so reach out to the newly elected recruitment officer during spring semester before the no contact period in May. Networking in general will take you far, getting your name out there will help you stand out

I would start by looking at the University of Alabama Panhellenic Association website. Lots of great info about letters of recommendation and what to wear (assuming things will be somewhat similar next year to this year). If you look under the Recruitment tab they've also got the Greek Chic pub all the PNMs got this year.

All if this is great advice. I’ll add the following… Good question! I am in charge of rush at a top UA house. Here’s my advice:
1. GRADES! Get your grades up! Study as much as possible and advocate for yourself when you have questions in class. The biggest and first cuts are due to grades. The higher your gpa (especially if you go to a good private school, although private school not always necessary) then the better! 2. Social media! I can’t stress this enough! Do not let people video or photo you. They can post online and do whatever they want. Clean up your social media. Make it limited to view. They can follow you and your follow back, if interest. Clean social media is clean for top houses. Don’t make a tik tok that everyone follows. Most of those girls cut first round by top houses. 3. practice interview skills. Top houses have alumi who now work in PR and come and talk to them. Do the same. Practice interview skills. 4. Brush up your resume. 5. Go to any and all spring parities. Connect with girls online (which is why you need to clean up social media). 6. Contact the rush advisory or rush head, and let them know you’re infested. 7. They don’t have to be from a UA chapter, they can be from another chapter. 8. Maximize your invites each round so you’re not cut! 9. Have fun! It’s infectious! If you’re having fun, so are wall around you.

Network network network. Clean social media and good grades. The more girls who know you before rush the better your chances.
