Wanted to address all these hazing "rumors"

Whoever is posting all these rumors about fraternity hazing is either oblivious or deliberately scaring people. As part of a fraternity on University, I can tell you IT'S NOT THAT BAD. In the moment it sucks and you want it to be over, but looking back it's some of the best fun you'll ever have. There is lots of drinking, yes, but it's not as bad as you think.

No it’s not bad as long as you are fine with puke and drinking and being send to hospitals. You have 99% Chance to survive these tasks. No one has died during the last years. MORE IMPORTANT: do not forget to PAY YOUR PLEDGE DUES and do not tell mom

Yeah seriously some of the best memories I’ve on campus are from pledgeship. It’s no cakewalk but it’s so worth it in the end.

Most pledgeships that aren’t for Old Row houses have been watered down. I’m in a Jefferson house, and I know that what I went through was definitely easier than what pledges did even 5 years ago. Even the top New Row houses have easier pledgeships than they used to. Times are changing.
