Car question...
by: YerDo I have to bring my car down here? Will I survive without it?
#2by: Just me
I survived two years with no car. Between crimson ride and 348 and uber and friends, I didn’t miss it much at all and I had my car at home for breaks. I just paid for rides to the airport or took the shuttle. I lived far OOS. I brought it to school for my junior and senior year because I had to drive to my internships.

If you’re out of region you are going to want your car. Airfare prices have seen an increase of 45% in the last year and flights are consistently canceled around the holidays, leaving students stranded.
The reason they tell everyone not to bring cars is because there is both a housing shortage and parking shortages on campus. Alabama has become so popular that we don’t have room for the incoming freshmen. People are scrambling to find apartments right now. There’s never enough parking.
But if you don’t live close enough that someone can literally come and get you, then you need to have a car here. It used to be you could fly in an out pretty easily, but that has changed.
