rec letter help

will it hurt me in rush if i have more than 2 rec letters for certain houses? i know it’s recommended to not send more than 2 but there’s a couple houses that i’ve had more than 2 people offer to do them and they all seem super eager about it. i know it’s not recommended but i was also told a little while back by a greek life alumni woman that it can be considered “disrespectful” to turn down people offering to write your letters even if you alresdy have the amount. what i’m wondering is, will a house see it as a bad thing and drop me if they receive more than 2? or what could possibly come from that

For my house, we don't read past the first two. They're the only ones that matter unless one is bad. It won't hurt but it won't help.

Yes. We call these no recs. If a no rec is written then it’s very hard to over turn and usually requires national approval. Definitely not uncommon for this to happen
