what makes alumni in good standing

for most rec letters they say an "alumni in good standing", what makes them in good standing? just that they graduated as a member or do they have to be an alumni who actively donates and stuff?

In good standing with the National org. Basically is a real alum (didn’t quit or get kicked out) and pays dues. Generally in my sorority we don’t really check if the alum pays dues but our nationals does send us that info.
