what about zeta makes them bad?

OR reviving the ZTA conversation from a year ago in an effort to bury all the recent slavery and old money posts about OR and embarrassing OR responses.

There are certain houses whose letters a lot of girls would be embarrassed to be seen in. Zeta is one of those houses. How often do you Kylan in her letters?

They are only seen as “bad” to the Hilly Holbrook types!

Their reputation is what makes them undesirable.

To me it’s because of the reputations of the girls they take. A girl from my high school they pledged had slept with probably 10 different guys in HIGH SCHOOL. Now being on the other side of rush, I saw girls they pledged that my house had dropped because of bad reps and low grades.

If Zeta would increase their standards for girls they take for the next few years, they might be able to join the list of top houses. But they’re nowhere near that right now.

Zeta and Alpha Phi are the same thing. Everything on this post for Zeta goes for Alpha Phi, too.

Petty, jealous girls.

Sick jealousy. Very petty. Stay in your lanes and just love your houses. The hate for another group and cutting down other females is sad.

Part of the hate is jealousy and part of it is that ZTA can be annoying. Zeta rushes PNMs who fit their look. Most of those girls are very pretty in a traditional sense. But their sisterhood is impacted by having a house full of beautiful women with fake tans, hair dyed so blonde that it's almost white, 24x7 partying, and not a lot of sisterhood focus. They don't help give greek life a good name, because they perpetuate the sorority stereotype.

All that said, my freshman year roommate was a ZTA and she was a sweet person who was so excited to pref Zeta. She wound up dropping out of college later, but loved being a ZTA. She did tell me once that she had hoped to make closer friends while living in the house, but I think that can be true for several sororities at Bama.

Zeta is a great house for the right PNM and does not deserve the hate it gets on GR.
