Life in a "bottom tier"

I am just being honest with myself, I think I'll probably end up in a mid or lower house. How is the experience different? Be honest, I just want a chill sisterhood and a fun social life.
Everyone says every house here is great. How true is that? For example, where my sister goes to school, only the top 3 houses are really worth the time/money/energy?

Why do you assume you will get a "bad house"? That makes a HUGE difference. Do you
A. Have a low gpa and a sketch rep/insta?
B. Have less than average looks and a little shy or awkward but have good grades and involvement?
C. Have just an okay everything, such as took it easy in HS, decent gpa low involvement but at least cute with a personality?
D. A combination of 2 of these categories?
B and C girls will almost always get a bid to a house they can have fun in. (Basically any house besides SDT and ADX)
A and D girls hear me YOU ARE NOT GUARANTEED A BID. PERIOD. Bama can still be alot of fun but greek life might not be for you sis.

As brutal as it is this is spot on. Every girl who is a qualified pmn will get a bid if they keep an open mind. Thing is you can't have too many strikes against you. Some are complete deal breakers some arent.

You will have a great experience in ANY house if you put the effort in! That is the bottom line. Go to meals, go to the house to study/do homework...every day! Then you will meet your group and you'll have a great time from then on. Once you have your core friends, you will be having fun. You can be in the "top" house and be miserable if you don't put the effort in. You can be in a "bottom" house and have the best experience ever. The house itself makes no difference. Keep an open mind during rush. No one cares what house you're in except you.

I'm in a "bottom tier" house and it's great. Nobody cares. I party with Old Row girls and frat guys every weekend. My house is just as nice as the "top tier" houses if not better in some instances. Great girls are found on every tier, so don't believe everything you're told. I went into my house unsure because of rumors on greek rank and love everything!

About the only thing that is really different is that you won’t be hanging out as much with kids from certain of Alabama’s “best”‘zip codes.
Other than that - it’s pretty much the same experience and what matters more is you - your personality, your involvement, your major,
Boyfriend, Etc - your house is secondary. \n\n\n\n\n
